Our Thoughts on Machine Translations

We believe in the power of words to shape experiences.

That’s why our localization process is led by human linguists – professionals who take responsibility for the tone, voice, and cultural relevance of every line.
We don’t rely on machine translation in our work. While it may offer speed and surface-level results, machine translation lacks the ability to truly understand context, emotion, or character intent. It doesn’t ask who is speaking, why it matters, or how a line should feel to the player. And in game localization, those things matter deeply!

We’re often brought in to fix projects that started with machine translation. What seemed like a financial shortcut often ends up needing full retranslation and extensive QA to repair tone, consistency, and player-facing clarity – costing more time and resources in the end.

What matters most to us is open, honest collaboration. Our approach is rooted in open communication and shared goals. If there’s ever a case where you think it might make sense to use MT, then we’ll walk you through the pros and cons clearly – because trust is built on transparency. We would never include it behind the scenes or push a process that isn’t right for your content. We have the knowledge to assist you in finding the best and most cost-efficient path to a great localized game.

Our goal is to help you deliver a game that feels authentic in every language. One that speaks to your players, not just at them.
